1: I don't like the list of majors and boards. Can you change them?
Yes, we can. We probably didn't cover all the majors and important boards on our first try. Much of the majors list comes from browsing around on the websites of various universities. The boards were mostly the result of online research to figure out what people in major X tend to talk about. So of course we rely on your feedback (especially if you're making a suggestion regarding your own major) to make MajorIndulgence as diversified and content-rich as possible. However, if your major is essentially the same as a listed major but is known by a different term at your school, then we cannot create a new major on the main page due to redundancy. We also discern the difference between a major and its various branches. For example, Art is the overall major, and within that are different branches made into boards: Illustration, Painting, Sculpture, etc. These will not be placed on the main page. In the end, what counts as a major or branch can be somewhat subjective, and many branches may be considered majors at certain schools. In time, we'll try to cater to a consensus as the number of users grow.

2: Why are there some alignment issues with the graphics/text on the site?
This is most likely due to browser differences in how they render the website. Currently, MajorIndulgence is best viewed using the latest version of Mozilla Firefox in both Windows and Mac. Additional browsers that work well include Chrome and Safari. All other browsers may lead to skewed alignments that make parts of the website slightly unattractive. Full support in the future for other browsers is not guaranteed, so in the meantime please use our recommendations. Be sure to also set the page/text zoom to default rather than make things bigger or smaller.

3: Is there a way to get rid of the sponsors column on the right?
There is no option to delete that column. Please understand that in order to keep this site running, we have to generate revenue to cover our costs. We have tried to make the advertising as clean as possible and "blend" it with the rest of the site. The column also contains no animations that would heavily distract the users. We ask that you support our sponsors by allowing the ads to show.

4: Will any of the information in my profile be sold?
No, selling user profile information is not part of our business model. We will not sell your personal browsing history either. What you choose to disclose in your profile is up to you. If you don't want others knowing specific information about yourself, then leave it out. Otherwise, your profile will be available to view for anyone else that is registered with MajorIndulgence. As the saying goes, "what you put on the Internet stays on the Internet." So disclose wisely.

5: Why won't some image links properly attach in the posts?
There are some cases where image links attached to a post will not be properly displayed. This may be due to several reasons: (1) The image no longer exists or the link is mistyped. (2) The image link does not contain only the image by itself, but rather contains other information. (3) The image is far too large to process. Some websites like Wikipedia are not image link friendly. One solution is to save the image onto your computer, and then upload the image to File Exchange and image link it from there.

6: Why won't some files work after downloading from File Exchange?
For some reason, some types of files that get uploaded to the File Exchange and then downloaded do not work afterwards. One such type is a pptx file. A simple solution to this problem is to zip up the file and then upload it. Then once you download and unzip, it should work fine.
