Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural landmarks given recognition
When people think about what the Buffalo area is famous for, things like chicken wings and freak snowstorms often come to mind.

It's a Mod, Mod World
Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater stands alone as perhaps the definitive example of a home that is a work of art. But, that’s not the only one. There are many other notable properties that can also qualify as real estate pieces of art and the best news is — they’re all for sale.

'Modern' is hard to nail down
Can you name the architectural style of your home or apartment building, or the building in which you work? You might reply "traditional" or "modern," but these are vague terms. While "traditional" at least suggests allusion in some way to architectural styles and building types of the past, "modern" is even more imprecise. It defines neither a style nor a building type.

ARCHITECTURE: On preserving a Frank Lloyd Wright house
I feel the need to defend my family's dedication to our home of 14 years, Frank Lloyd Wright's Boynton House ("Preserving a Rochester Treasure," September 29). We bought the house when no one wanted it and it had been empty for more than a year. We breathed life into it by investing our hearts, souls, sweat equity, time, and financial resources.

The Secret of Park51
Do we really know what the new Islamic cultural center near Ground Zero would look like? For weeks, we have heard and read that Park51 is in fact not a mosque, with its developers contending that it is modeled on two very American building types: the Jewish Community Center and the YMCA. Early sketches of the project suggest this much is true.
