i've been looking around for a new point and shoot. i won't be taking any professional photos at all. i always hear that Canon and nikon are the brands to go to, and canon's powershot models look pretty good. what about this model:

All Canons are generally very good. The Powershot line of cameras is well reviewed by critics. I'd say go for it.

BTW I have a Powershot SD600, and it's served me well. That model you posted is a later model, so it should be even better.

i thought so, i think i'll just get it. i googled some expert and user reviews on it and everything seems to check out. if i find something wrong i could just return it.
