Topic: Making stuff out of leftover cardboard.

After I completed the Architecture program, I had a lot of leftover pieces of cardboard and wooden sticks laying around. Instead of throwing them away I figured I'd keep them just in case. Well over the months I've found many uses for them, including making custom container inserts to hold certain things.

Below I've made a custom cardboard insert for a desk drawer that snuggly fits inside and has 3 bays (1 large and 2 small) to hold misc. office/work supplies. It's pretty nice, and it's taped on the bottom so that it doesn't shift around.

Oh, I'm like Martha Stewart!

I used to collect trading cards when I was younger, and I remember taking a shoe box and creating dividers out of cardboard from other shoe boxes to separate my cards according to various attributes. I think it was an obsession with being organized. Most definitely an OCD thing.

Your homemade cardboard box works well, but I just use a tin box to hold the small things. Also I'm not an art&crafts kind of person, so my patience would be put to the test if I were trying to make that.
