In the past I've been signed on to a few agencies, with one of them managing to place me in a temp position. The rest never contacted me for anything. Of course, there are lots of variables that come into play. There might not be any positions suitable, there may be a ton of qualified people, or you may not be qualified enough, etc.

My best advice is to bypass employment agencies and apply straight with the target company if possible. But if you're already signed on to employment agencies, do not depend on them to find you jobs. Keep searching as if you had never signed on.
