Avatar looks like it will inevitably beat Titanic. It's at 1.6 billion now, and with additional recognition during awards season, it'll definitely get the final push past 1.8 billion. Damnit Cameron, he just understands what appeals to people.

And Cameron just won best director and best picture drama at the Golden Globes. He's unstoppable. The final destination would be sweeping the Oscars.
