Touchdown = 6 points (+1 almost always)
Field Goal = 3 points

The field goal is so dependent on the abilities of one player, a kicker, that is seems unbalanced considering how much of a team sport football is. Granted it takes the team to get the kicker into field goal range, but after that it's just a one-man show.

I think it should be worth 2 pts. Maybe?

The best is when the kicker makes the winning field goal, and the announcers and papers call the kicker a Hero...he was just doing his job, he gets paid to do that, and probably gets fined x amount of dollars if he misses, if you had to pay someone every time you missed a field goal, you'd be sure to make it too!
