So I went to the dentist today for a cleaning and he said that my teeth should be cleaner than it was. Something must be wrong with my brushing or flossing technique because I'm always timely when it comes to dental hygiene.

I guess tonight I'm going to Google "how to brush your teeth" and "how to floss properly".  

Dentists get paid to say that kind of bullshit, I hear the same thing every time I visit the dentist. I'm kind of an Obsessive Compulsive Maniac when it comes to hygiene, I brush my teeth every freaking day, twice a day, and floss every morning, and every night as well..yet I still hear the same thing...you're teeth could be whiter. WTF? I don't get it

I also get increasingly paranoid of dentists because I think they purposely try to bleed my gums and then say I'm doing something wrong with my dental hygiene.

No, I think it's because you annihilated the hell out of my gums. That's why it's bleeding.
