Think of it as riding out the recession, so that by the time you graduate, hopefully the economy would have healed by then.

I just recently read that although the national unemployment rate is around 9-10%, within the field of Architecture it's a staggering 30%.

college kids are insulated right now. the real world is a moshpit of competition with everyone scrambling for jobs.
