Topic: Is the price of art determined too much by artist and historical significance? |
Some of the world's most expensive paintings have been sold at auction for over $100 million, including Jackson Pollock's No. 5, which went for $140 million. If I was purchasing paintings purely on aesthetic value, I would've never bought No. 5.
