Seriously, if you were to go on the front page of CNN on a random day and read the headlines for every story within the top third of the site, I would bet that your mood would be more gloomy than happy. I get it. The economy is still bad, lots of people are out of work, bankers suck, and murders and freak accidents still happen today.

But if people are gloomy nowadays, then shouldn't you give them something a little more cheerful to read about? Therefore it doesn't surprise me that celebrity gossip sites have gotten more popular since the whole recession started. And yes, I'm one of those people who likes to read TMZ, JustJared, PerezHilton, TheSuperficial, etc. It's just brainless fun and trash, and many of the celebrities are quite easy on the eyes. I would've never thought I would know so much about the personal lives of people that have nothing to do with me and whose lives do not affect mine at all.

So my point is, the next time you want to check out CNN, or FauxNews or tune into your local news, think of these guys instead if you haven't already:
