Topic: Blogging is kind of therapeutic for me |
So, I keep an updated blog on MajorIndulgence (up to 46 posts now):
http://majorindulgence.com/news I know it says "news" at the end of the URL. I'm just too lazy to change the filename and properly re-link everything.
Anyways, my blog is basically a list of posts related to all-things MajorIndulgence. Typically, I think many companies will blog about positive topics, but for me I feel compelled to include the negatives as well. Starting up and struggling is a common occurrence, but the struggle is greatly increased since I'm going at this project alone. That means if I'm stuck on something, there's no one to "un-stuck" me. If I'm down, there's no one to cover for me. And there's definitely a duality of excitement combined with loneliness when you're going down this road. There's no promise of anything, only a giant leap of faith. You hope that your time was worth it, and that eventually you can make something out of it.
At times I think I might even be treating this site like a child. Just like a parent would do anything for the prosperity of his/her children, I feel that I would do anything to bring this site out of obscurity. It just means that much to me!
