Go big or go home. I believe it.

One of my co-workers at work is planning to go on a meditation retreat in hopes of clearing his mind and getting his priorities straight. It's one of those things where you're not allowed to talk during the entire week or so. I guess it's for people who are at a crossroads in their life and need to figure things out.

I don't know about that. It's just kind of a pseudo-science that some retreat is going to automatically refocus a person. I actually think that he already knows what he wants out of life, but for whatever reason is too cowardly to fully pursue those things. Maybe the retreat will validate his own talents and he'll finally quit his day job, or maybe it'll do nothing at all and be a big waste of time.

I think if you just use your own intuition, you have probably already figured out the major things that you want out of life. Taking the first steps to pursue those big dreams is the hardest part, and sometimes people just need a little push to get started.

It's definitely worth it.
