I recently signed on to do a side contract job for an architect. I'm developing his portfolio website, which will eventually be published here:

But before we actually starting talking about the website itself, we just chatted about architecture, since that happens to be my undergraduate degree when I attended UW Seattle. I knew that the economy was still bad and that the architectural design industry has especially had it rough with over 25% unemployment. Or so I thought. My client believed that it could be as bad as 50%! It makes me wonder what these out-of-work architects are doing in the meantime while they wait for the economy to heal back up.
