Users retain ownership rights of their submitted content and are credited as the author. However, by submitting content, you give MajorIndulgence the right to publish and distribute the content on this website without paying royalties or any form of compensation. There's an old saying that you should always treat others in a way that you would like to be treated. You hear that mostly from parents, but it's true. Just because many of you are anonymous doesn't mean that all respect and manners go out the window. This isn't trash-talk forums or YouTube comments. We're an academic networking website aimed at providing a place for people to talk about their majors. And to do it without being harassed for having a different opinion. Consistent responses using ad hominem against any user will not be tolerated, and users who are subject to such abuses are encouraged to report the instances to moderators.
Spamming is not allowed. Users who consistently post messages with no meaning or relation to the topic are subject to warnings and bannings. Attempting to greatly distort the look of the message boards by typing multiple lines of repetitive content just to fill up a lot of space is also considered a form of spamming. ASCII art is also frowned upon.
Users must respect all the majors and compose topics under the appropriate board. Anything that is off-topic is considered spam and will be deleted. In many cases, off-topic threads are simply mistakes, and the user should delete the thread on his or her own by using the edit function.
Advertising within the topics and posts of any message board is not allowed. Firms that wish to advertise with MajorIndulgence may do so by purchasing ad space on the sponsors column on the right side of all the pages (with the exception of the homepage). Marketplace participation:
All users are expected to use the Marketplace with good intentions. It is the responsibility of the buyer and seller to get in contact with each other and develop a method of exchange. MajorIndulgence is not responsible for any scams, or lost or stolen items. Exercise caution when buying items and meet locally if possible.
Although we allow almost any item to be listed, there are some that are banned: X-rated items, sex items, people (e.g., personals), and food.
Updates to the Terms of Service:The Terms of Service may be updated regularly without notifying users, and all updates are effective immediately.
